Mine is quorn chicken pieces in jarred tomato sauce (think dolmio, the sugarier the better). Served over a big bowl of pasta. Topped with loads of grated cheddar cheese 🧀

I can hear Italians crying at the thought 🤣

Mashed potato sandwiches on white bread and butter

MamaEs · 08/10/2021 22:10

Any form of carb sandwich

Super noodle sandwich

Pot noodle sandwich

Cottage pie sandwich

Chip sandwich

Or just good old fashioned bread and butter

@KittenKong

Cheap store brand onion rings (the crispy snacks not the actual deep fried battered onion). The cheaper and nastier the better. If they don’t turn your fingers yellow and your tongue tingle, they aren’t good enough.
Yes same here! I usually have them with a pot of sour cream and chive dip to dunk them in.
StevieNix · 08/10/2021 22:24

Either chicken super noodles on buttered toast - topped with grated cheese (pure carb overload heaven)
Or
Warm baguette, spread with green pesto, add thick slices of mozzarella and tomato.

samwitwicky · 08/10/2021 22:24

Chilli Doritos in a bowl, covered in grated cheese. Microwave until the cheese melts. Remove from micro, add chilli sauce +/- Mayo and away you go

weegiemum · 08/10/2021 22:29

Birds eye potato waffle on white bread sandwich with brown sauce.

Making my mouth water thinking about it. I'm low-curbing at the minute so can't have it!

Bloodylovecheese · 08/10/2021 22:31

Pataks lime pickle on toast Grin

TrampolineForMrKite · 08/10/2021 22:34

A little delicacy we call “slops” in this house. Something my Mum made us when we were kids that I think she originally tore the recipe for from some 80s Sunday supplement of a very bad newspaper. It goes a little something like this:

Chop and fry a whole white onion and a few garlic cloves. As many as you like, we do it super garlicky.

Once browned, add a tin of baked beans and a tin of chopped tomatoes. Quality no object here, the cheapest and worst baked beans, the 15p tins of tomato. Stir it round til it bubbles. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer to an over proof dish. Sprinkle with grated cheddar, handfuls of it. So much that it looks vaguely dangerous.

Grill until the cheese is all brown and bubbly.

Serve with toast or a jacket potato if you’re feeling decadent. Ultimate comfort food.

@TrampolineForMrKite this sounds delicious!

Hamwiches.

LagunaBubbles · 08/10/2021 22:43

Tinned meatballs in gravy, especially delicious cold!

AmandaHoldensLips · 08/10/2021 22:43

Jeez - what kind of highly disturbed food psychopaths are you?

PurplePinecone · 08/10/2021 22:44

Fried banana sandwich. First caramelise slices of banana in butter and sugar. Then add to sandwich and fry in a pan with butter. so like a grilled cheese, but with banana instead. So delicious!

dannydyerismydad · 08/10/2021 22:45

Proper butter. Eaten off a spoon.

SquirrelFan · 08/10/2021 22:45

Plain Doritos with a thin slice of salted butter on. Sprinkled with salt.

Janaih · 08/10/2021 22:46

Herta frankfurters. I cut a small corner off and inhale them one at a time while doing a crossword.

Estara · 08/10/2021 22:47

Cockles and crisps sandwich. I've not had it In ages, now I really want it.

FrankiesKnuckle · 08/10/2021 22:48

Cheese and marmite toastie.

Or a bag of mini kievs.

WhenWeFirst · 08/10/2021 22:53

I hate to admit to this -

A hot baked potato cut in half and the two halves placed side by side on a grill pan. The halves are then scored and lots of French sea salt butter melted in. Grated cheese on top and then under the grill until bubbling.
Slide the two halves onto a plate and top with lots of coleslaw. Top with a sprig of parsley - the healthy element.

I can't imagine how many calories are in it but it is delicious.

PearLime · 08/10/2021 22:57

Chegg fried rice.

It's egg fried rice with grated cheese on top 🤣

Could claim it's fusion????

AlanisMorningShed · 08/10/2021 23:03

On a rare occasion. Chicken super noodle sandwich with loads of butter, hangover food of the gods. Wholemeal bread is best.

I often think about them, but I'm too fat to have them regularly!

RugCarpet22 · 08/10/2021 23:08

Sushi!!!

Anonymous48 · 08/10/2021 23:08

@RugCarpet22

Sushi!!!
Why is that a guilty pleasure?
Warmduscher · 08/10/2021 23:16

Peanut flips.

In the style of cheesy wotsits but peanut butter flavour.

We used to eat loads of them when we moved in Germany. I’ve just moved to Leeds and discovered they sell them in the petrol station round the corner. Heaven!

Cheap supermarket cheese sandwich with Thai sweet chilli crisps washed down with a cup of tea

Now a vegetarian but I used to love a bacon butty with incredibly crispy bacon on Warburton's white toasty with loads of brown sauce. Add hash browns if you're completely hungover.
