Loud and uncouth couple

Am on holiday in a privately rented apartment. Twas lovely and peaceful until about an hour ago. Loud couple arrived in apartment below. Yelled conversations, including her calling her husband a fucking cunt. Nice. So far they have phoned everyone in their contact list to tell them they've arrived, with the phone on loudspeaker. WIBU to burn their apartment down while they're out?

I have nothing useful to add. But uncouth is a great word!

Also nothing useful to add other than the random fact that there is a Street in Milnrow near Rochdale called Uncouth Road.

I feel your pain op - if you’re not keen on tap dancing might I suggest clog dancing? Nice chunky wooden clogs with irons on the soles.

Oh sympathy. We had this on a holiday a few years ago. Spent the first few days relaxing outside our villa enjoying the peace then the loudest family ever arrived next door. Not one of them could speak at a normal volume, every word was shouted. My stern glares at breakfast had no impact 😂

Set their car on fire outside late a night, then they will have lots to do outside, sorting all the stuff out with the firemen and police, and everything else that needs doing, Then they will have to go home thereafter, in a hire car or other means of transport. Ruined noisy break for them, peace for you.

Play some Des O'connor songs at full volume

We had this in Italy but they were Italian so it wasn’t as bad somehow. Then they got out a blowtorch to incinerate their meat which was inches from my ear on other side of fence nearly jumped 6 feet !

Oh it was basically a loud convo with a mate at home which consisted of the word 'fucking' a lot, 'where's the Jaegermiester' (yelled at his wife mid conversation) and then 'can you hear me' yelled at his mate down the phone at which point I yelled over the balcony 'we can ALL hear you', at which point I heard his wife shushing him. It's gone quiet now. I suspect they've gone out to get -more- hammered.

Nice one. If the noise continues, start to join in their conversations.

Download a bad coughing sound to your phone and play it loudly. Use a mister to spray droplets over your balcony. Whinge about getting a PCR test. That might force them inside.

This reminds me of the time several years ago we ‘met’ a similar couple on the coach that dropped holiday makers off around the resort. We had our fingers crossed at each drop off that they would disembark. They didn’t. We were the last drop off along with them. We were welcomed by the rep and escorted to our apartments … side by side. We ended up having one of our best holidays! They were very loud (total opposite of us) a bit sweary but very nice people with hearts of gold and awesome sense of humour. The local people really warmed to them and threw a little ‘leaving’ do the night before we all left.
