To ask what contraception you use?

I'm nearing 40 and have been on the combined pill almost constantly since being 16 apart from coming off to have my 2 children.
Recently went to the docs as I'd noticed some changes in my breasts who took me off the pill temporarily while it got investigated (something to do with the combined pill increasing risk of breast cancer and therefore she couldn't refer me to the breast clinic while on a medication that increased my chances of getting it)
Everything came back clear but now I'm thinking it's probably time to reevaluate contraceptive choices as I'm not sure it's good to be on the pill for this long.

So, what does everyone else do? At the moment we're using condoms (I'm in a LTR) but I really don't like them.

I’m on the pill but as a smoker nearing 35 I’m starting to stress about blood clots and it’s probably almost time to come off it.

I’ve had the implant which I didn’t like and bled non stop, tried to get the mirena but my doctor couldn’t get it in and said I would have to be fitted under a general, I was later discovered to have a uterus full of fibroids so possibly a correlation there.

I don’t really know what to get next. DH has offered to have a vasectomy but I’m not sure I’m ready for something so final.

Personally I’ve found infertility worked for me. No contraceptive for 28 years so far and no pregnancy

Early 40s and tried most things over the years. Hormonal contraception really did not like me.

Because of the above and for my own sexual health as well, l’ve been a condom girl for many years. Our sexual health is important.

I’ve been called names in the past because l always carry some in my handbag. What a world we live in!

Friends in the know have, on occasion, asked to “borrow” one though.
