Seem to have mastitis or it's a full blown absess now. It's so sore. I feel like shit. Too hot fever, leaking pus. Brian is foggy. Everywhere aches. Going to ring gp in half hour see what they say. ..

Any tips to help?

I had sepsis with mastitis and had those symptoms had to be on IV antibiotics . Get seen ASAP , it’s not worth the risk x

OP i had this really bad but I didn't get aching or shivers ect I think you might need go and get checked in person. The pain was so unbearable and as others said a warm bath might help. I also used to put a wet towel over mine at night to ease the pain.

A neighbour died of sepsis. Very quickly . Within a few short hours. Please. A and E NOW.

That's my understanding too....inflammation =heat, adding more heat will make it worse, surely?

Also I'm worried about poor foggy Brian (just trying to cheer you up there OP:) )

I was so ill with mastitis I collapsed in a shopping centre, do get checked out !

Feeling a tiny bit better. Been using cabbage leaves and heat. If I'm no better by morning I'm to head to a and e. I've just slept for 5 hours seemed to have helped.

Feeling a lot more human now. Hopefully I'll get a decent sleep tonight and the pills continue to work the magic

Has anyone had eyes on it? Or was it a phone consultation?

If it's truly an abscess it should really be seen.

Mastitis is god awful, I've had it a few times with my 6mo baby. You have my sympathy! Antibiotics usually help me pretty quickly. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Im so sorry, this sounds horrific. Seek urgent medical help and don’t be stoic or underplay the symptoms. You would not be unreasonable to cut it off with a rusty saw.

Hope you feel a bit better by tomorrow. Mastitis is awful.

Get under a hot shower and (very) carefully run a wide tooth comb (or back of fingernails to mimic comb) downward over and over again to help massage and free up the ducts. This worked for me . Hope you feel better soon.

Back at work today feeling about 80% back to normal. Thank you everyone 😁 and yes the wee jokes helped.
