As I sit here on the floor, surrounded by utter poo carnage, bathing my 8 month old son (who thinks this is all rather hilarious), who just shat himself so violently that it woke me from the first deep sleep I've managed in days.

I’ve got 4 (9,8,3 and 1) and I can’t help you with this at the moment - every day is a slog that revolves around them arguing or moaning - they’re not a lot of fun to be around.

Sorry, I only started really enjoying my children when they were 4 and 6 years old Blush

They are now 9yo and 10yo and they are bloody brilliant!!! I am so proud of the wonderful children they have become Grin

I’m on week four of a cold virus that refuses to go away and my children have taken turns to wake me coughing every night.
Look on the bright side op it’s a funny story to tell him when he’s a teenager Grin

Single parent, not sure when I last got a full night sleep as asthmatic DD seems to have her asthma triggered by everything so I'm still up 3 or 4 times a night.

I also have a heavy cold that just won't sod off. Had it 2 weeks now and just when it seems to be going away it gets worse again. I've had to test for covid twice for it, both negative.

So at the moment I can't help.

Their gummy smiles, when they will do anything to make you laugh, they think you're hilarious and want to cuddle you all the time. When they want to learn and they soak everything up like a sponge. Their delight at seeing something new. When they learn to put their own bloody shoes on.

When my 4 month old DD wakes up in the morning she gets a big smile on her face when she sees me, it magically erases my feelings of resentment for broken sleep Smile

I've felt like this this morning. DS refused to nap yesterday so was asleep by 6 last night, so guess who was up shouting for banana at 5.30am? DP is working nights and got home at 3am so it's up to me to try and keep DS quiet (ish) until he gets up so I can go to work. Ugh I hate night shifts.

Sometimes you do have to look quite hard, 😆
Mine are much older now, it has taught me unconditional love, as well as patience, endurance and lovely surprises along the way.
