Can someone help me with my salary?

Afternoon Smile posting for traffic as I'm a bit stuck on how to work this out. I have asked my new manager as he's in the same boat but he's unsure too.

Just started a new job and the salary is 20k.
We are paid every 4 weeks. How do I work out what I'll take home every month? (I'm assuming it will be the same amount each month?)
Do I just divide 20k by 13 months? (Then put into gov website which will show me my take home pay)

My last job was the same amount but I was paid monthly so a bit easier to work out. Thanks , I'm clueless and my manager doesn't know either 🙈

I'm Local Authority and get paid every 4 weeks. Love it! I just work my finances on a 4 week schedule. Would find monthly hard to get used to.

I worked somewhere like this once. Got paid every two weeks. By month two, I’d worked out we were being diddled. Told my boss my dad worked for the Inland Revenue and suddenly I was paid properly, including back pay 🤣 I left soon after anyway!

I’m paid every 4 weeks and it’s fine. The only thing I would suggest is putting your pay dates into your calendar so you can plan accordingly.

as advised by others above

I'm an accountant, and it's my go to site, even in roles where I'm managing payroll.
Enter you annual salary, and either divide the net annual amount by 13, or multiply the weekly amount by 4.

I'm.paid 4 weekly. Dame amount every week,13 times a year. Watch out for dates of your direct debits and standing orders as sometimes it can work out they are going put before your funds are replenished! One month of the year, you will.get paid twice. I mark all my pay dates up a year in advance do I can work this all out.

How were you being diddled and how did you find out?
