For 18th Dec 2021, would you think the couple were living in a fantasy land (Covid wise)?

Save the dates went out ages ago as was moved from last year.

But official CEV shielding for those NHS identified as highest risk in the community (not yet those in carehomes or hospitals) to take extra precautions still, has ended now. Letters went out in past few days

Except that's not what it says at all!it says to keep being extremely careful, avoid unvaccinated people, blah blah... but it's now not official so don't expect any help.

Having a November wedding. Only concern at the minute is will people have enough fuel to get there Hmm

Looking at how things are at school at the moment, I would hope the couple are ok with people declining at the last minute due to getting covid. You can get married whenever you like, and I'd be delighted you're finally able to get married and absolutely wish you well.

However I'd also wonder what the etiquette would be about pulling out. For example if a family member tests positive should the rest of the family still come? What about if a child's best friend tests positive but the child hasn't yet ? My inclination would be to stay away in both those situations, to protect the rest of the guests (including elderly relatives?). But would that offend, given we're still expected to show up at work and school in those circumstances now?

Thank you all - keeping everything crossed! And yes, let's hope we can actually all get there with petrol!

That close I’d say no to attending as would be worried about being sick over the Christmas break etc.
