To report this woman?

Dropped grandkids off at a breakfast club this morning. There was a lady I I recognise, probably about mid thirties. She was sitting with 2 children playing per uno but didn't seem to know how to play. However, she was engaging with the kids quietly and helping.
The manager then goes over to her in front of me and says 'Sarah, why are you not participating in this game with the children?" The woman looked upset, said she didn't really know how to play it and that the kids were trying to teach her and the manager sort of did an eye roll and walked away.
Aibu to report this? I thought it was so demeaning and unfair towards the worker.

“I’d like to report an eye roll please”.

MiaMarshmallows · 27/09/2021 12:09

Hmm She was rude to another member of staff in front of a customer (me). And she seemed upset.

That’ll teach me for not reading until the very end, apologies MM! I thought you meant the manager said it to a woman sitting who was there with her two kids/kids she was looking after.

mummaelle · 27/09/2021 12:14

Yes report it, maybe this happens often and she feels she can't say anything 🥺

billy1966 · 27/09/2021 12:15

Absolutely report her unpleasantness.

MiloAndEddie · 27/09/2021 12:16

Who would you report it to if it’s the manager doing it?

DressBitch · 27/09/2021 12:19

I would.

It might be nothing, or it might be something serious and Sarah doesn't have the strength to raise it herself.

MiaMarshmallows · 27/09/2021 12:19

The club is part of a well known chain so not just this woman in charge.

Ask your kids if they played with "Sarah". Then tomorrow thank her for playing x game with your kids and say how they enjoyed it. Ideally in front of grumpy manager.
Or alternatively leave positive feedback for Sarah with the head.

Adelino · 27/09/2021 12:21

Sorry grandchildren.

OuiOuiBonjour · 27/09/2021 12:22

Yes, I'd report it in case there is a wider issue of workplace bullying.

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/09/2021 12:23

I would. I reported the manager of a branch of a coffee shop chain being an absolute shit to a young member of Saturday staff in full view of customers. Whatever the staff member had done wrong, the way the manager was dealing with it was appalling.

Ozanj · 27/09/2021 12:25

Report it. Kids don’t need to see shitty behaviour like that.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/09/2021 12:28

Definitely report it. No one goes to work for that shit and especially not on a Monday Morning. I detest bullying twats

OhGiveUp · 27/09/2021 12:29

Report it.
It was unprofessional and probably made the worker feel small.
Staff shouldn't be speaking to one and other like that in front of anyone else.

benelephant · 27/09/2021 12:31

Please report it OP. I reported a pair of managers really shouting at the lady on the McDonald's drive through the other day. Apparently she wasn't working hard enough but I'm not sure that two of them screaming at her in full view of the customers was going to have the desired effect.

Osrie · 27/09/2021 13:09

Definitely report.
