Chuffing on a fag at school drop off

AIBU to think that the mum standing waiting for the school gates this morning surrounded by children was being a t**t standing there with a fag on the go.

I'll add that I'm also a smoker and would never think this was ok, and the waiting area is tiny. Think standing outside your mate's terraced house on the pavement and the road directly behind you.

This really grates on me every day at school too. Same women, stands literally a step away from the gate everuone has to pass to get in and out.

Why she can’t smoke on her way I’ll never know. Selfish inconsiderate individual.

Someone in our playground vapes no one seems to mention it but I think it’s grim, surely you can do it before or wait ten mins to be out of the way.

Grim. Never happened at our school thankfully.

If you can't wait what 5 or 10 mins without a fag it's worrying. Same as people who smoke in pub gardens when the table next to them are eating, really winds me up and put me off all the al fresco dining when restrictions were lifted and tables crammed everywhere.

Caveated by I smoke, but bloody hell have some consideration!

It's just bad manners to smoke near a school, around children etc

I can't believe that anyone still wants to smoke in 2021. It's extortionately expensive and more than just a bit gross isn't it.

It's not that people want to though is it. If you haven't ever been addicted to anything you'll never understand. But smoking outside a school is not on

I smoke but never in front of my kids (or anyone else's) and I find it ridiculous that someone can't wait 20 mins till after the school run. Surely no one is that much of a heavy smoker!
