To want a non-underwired bra that actually supports my boobs???

Having breastfed my dd's for over 3 years in total my boobs are not what they used to be and need some additional support. (Why are your boobs so floppy mummy?) I don't like sports bras because you can see them under everything I wear and they seem to just flatten my boobs anyway. Underwired works visually but are so uncomfortable I end up ripping them off as soon as I'm home. Plus I'd rather avoid wired bras anyway for health reasons. I often wear M&S bralettes, which are comfy but give zero support. Any recommendations for bras that actually look nice, give support and are non-underwired?

Oh, following to see if the holy grail does exist!

dementedpixie · 22/09/2021 15:48

Depends what sort of size you are looking for
Sounds like you've been wearing the wrong size/style if you're finding bras uncomfortable

This non-wired bra is pretty decent. I have been wearing it whilst pregnant. I popped into a branch of Bravissimo to have it properly fitted, which I would 100% recommend doing if there is a branch local to you.

I'm a pretty standard 34C tbh. Nothing unusual. The only comfy ones I've found are the ones with no support.

M&S Light as Air range. Underwired but so soft all over you forget you're wearing it. Highly recommended.

Narutocrazyfox · 22/09/2021 16:19

The Triumph non wired amourette 300 is your holy grail my friend... I breastfed two babies for a combined 5 years so I hear ya...

MossyBottom · 22/09/2021 16:22

Sloggi zero feel. I had breast cancer lumpectomy and need support but hate wires. I found these after asking on MN.

Levriers · 22/09/2021 16:22

Royce Lingerie

pelosi · 22/09/2021 16:24

I picked up some supportive non wired bralets in Primark for £6 each.

Lunificent · 22/09/2021 16:26

I’ve just had breast surgery and have a a very nice supportive bra from the M and S post surgery range.

SprayedWithDettol · 22/09/2021 16:27

I can second the Sloggi.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 22/09/2021 16:27

H&M do some that aren’t too bad, even with a large chest. Search non wired bra and they also do a push up version

Ekofisk · 22/09/2021 16:32

Royce Maisie bra is the most comfortable one I’ve found.

lynxca16 · 22/09/2021 16:33

I would definitely try Bravissimo - find most M&S bras so uncomfortable.

Freda is also a good make for supportive, well fitting bras

Sheepysheep · 22/09/2021 16:37

I could have written your post a few years ago (though my youngest asked why my boobs were so “long” 😞). I decided to take myself off to Rigby and Peller for a fitting. I was wearing 36B or 38C (as advised by M&S) and they put me in a 32E. It was fiendishly expensive but so comfortable I can sleep in it…. It did take a bit of getting used to initially as it felt tight, but I think that actually improved my posture. I’ve since hoovered up any that come up on the sale / eBay and have quite a collection! I think it’s a marie jo avero…. Quite plain but super comfy, no back tits above the band, no quad boobs etc

Just nipping in to see if anyone recommended Molke bras yet? They haven't. They're fab!

TeacupDrama · 22/09/2021 16:38

Freya I think it autocorrected to Freda I have one from Sainsbury but can't remember what it is called

HungryHippo11 · 22/09/2021 16:40

Agree with molke

AngelsWithSilverWings · 22/09/2021 16:43

I've got some non underwired ones from Sainsbury's - from memory they came in a pack of two , one black and one white. I'm a 34e and these are supportive enough for me. Not as nice a shape as a proper underwired but fine for everyday wear.

BaronessOfTheNorth · 22/09/2021 16:43

I have one of each colour of the M&S Smoothing Non Wired Bralette. I discovered them recently and they provide better support than underwire! They are so comfortable and look lovely too.

anothermansshoes · 22/09/2021 16:44

Not sure Molke will fit the bill given the statement about sports bras showing

I'd suggest Molke with new clothes

MonsterMunchConnoisseur · 22/09/2021 16:45

I have these ones from Asda. No idea why they say bigger cup as I am a 34C and I got the medium size which fits really well. Very comfortable and very supportive without uncomfortable wires!

elephantstrong · 22/09/2021 16:56

Molke are great. I'm a FF/G and thought it wouldn't work, but it's a great support and comfy.

I've thrown out all other types now. I'm not wearing anything uncomfortable in peri menopause or beyond.

TheLeadbetterLife · 22/09/2021 16:58

I like the Playtex Feel Good Support bra.

LorneSausage · 22/09/2021 17:07

I bought a Naturana Moulded Soft Cup T Shirt Bra from Amazon during the first lockdown and have just got another. Really comfortable and they wash well.
