Im just intrigued that having a chip shop in your house is seen as an ostentatious showy display.

I think a lot of footballers have a room dedicated to their trophies, cups, medals, caps, matchballs etc. Obviously their wives/partners don’t want them all over the house, and lets face it, they have rooms to spare so why not. They work hard to reach that stage, and its not a long career.
