New job, zero training

AIBU to be stressed about this? I've been in the job a little over a month, band 2 NHS non clinical. Hugely understaffed, staff leaving all the time, no one applies (I think I know why now!) I've had to work out a huge majority by myself as there is never anyone around to ask or won't show me how to do something. I'm now starting my night shifts tonight and I will be completely on my own in a very busy department. No night shift training at all and there's a lot of different tasks that are purely done on night shifts so I've never done them. I have been kindly supplied a list of instructions! But so much can go wrong. Everyone else had someone with them when they started their nights. I have made it pretty clear how unhappy and uncomfortable I am with this. However i have been told there's one available to help me. I've been so stressed all week thinking about it, I can't even eat.

I want to stick this job out as I am currently doing a course in the area and it is great experience to have if I want to progress to a better banding. But my god I'm so bloody stressed about this. Its a stressful department anyway with LOTS of unhappy patients taking it out on me, stressed doctors and nurses that can be pretty rude and demanding. I just really wish I had some support 😔 my line manager is always off and my supervisor isn't bothered. I've already had colleagues from a different department tell me I should transfer to their department because its so much more organised and less stressful, but surely that would look awful after only 1.5 months? I'm just dreading tonight and trying so hard not to have a meltdown 😔

If the offer of transfer is there, I'd just take it. You just know that if something goes wrong you are going to be the one they blame.

In my experience it's jobs like this where you are the least likely to get an exit interview as well.
