I'm just not getting anywhere...

Been on tinder for three months now. I originally had settings fixed to men and women. Flooded with likes from guys, hardly any from women. I then changed my preferences to just women (I've realised I have zero interest in men atm) and have hardly gotten a like since! I send quite a few likes myself but hardly get anything back. I've had a few matches but getting conversation out of them is like pulling teeth!

I also joined Hinge last week and not a single like! What am I doing wrong? I'm early forties, attractive, well dressed, able to carry a conversation. I'm starting to lose hope of every finding a nice woman to go on a date with

I'm a lesbian and I really just think women who are not looking for men hold themselves and others to higher standards. Men get away with a lot more than women do ime. I think that it's a good thing that we put up with less shit when dating - but it does make the initial dating bit quite hard!

What lovely thing for the late bloomers/inexperienced lesbians to read. For some it takes time to realize they are lesbians, so they are virgins at older age. Everybody starts somewhere.

It’s true, I know several lesbians who didn’t realise they were lesbians until in their forties or fifties, after marriages and children. Tbh I’m not sure where I’m at, always gone with bi but perhaps my attraction to men is more aesthetic than sexual. Women, though, yes, good.

I have a few issues to work through before I inflict myself on the dating public but good to know what awaits. Yy to a MN dating lounge for disappointed febfem/ bi women. Our pool is small so we may as well make it super specific ;)
