Is this normal?
I've been in bed barely been able to lift my head at times. So havnt had a chance to look in to it properly. Can someone please explain details on what details they ask?

I'm assuming it registers me on to test and trace and I'm also notified if I'm in contact with someone who's tested positive, is this correct?

Is this a legal requirement?

Have you not answered their calls?
Have you tested positive?

Are you in bed sick with Covid?

If you were somewhere recently which was a large gathering I guess you might get a lot of contacts if there has been an outbreak. Is this likely?

ApolloandDaphne · 15/09/2021 10:18

If you have Covid and have registered this they will need to know who you have been in contact with and ensure you are isolating.

@ApolloandDaphne

No been at home for 2 weeks due to other health problems, so haven't really been near others. Yes about 3 days ago I was positive and have been in bed.

I found this really annoying too. We all tested positive on PCR s in our house. Obviously it is responsible to give Track and Trace all the info about where you've been, I don't have a problem with that. However, they called me multiple times as a person testing positive, but also as a close contact of the other people in the household who had also tested positive! The system doesn't seem able to recognise that if they've called you as a positive case and got that information, then they don't need to duplicate that.

It was also tiresome because they asked me again for all the details I'd given when I registered for the positive test. Plus they said I had to provide them with the full address and postcode of every place I'd been to. When I asked if they weren't able to Google that, they said they didn't have access 🤔 So I had to stop to look up all the addresses and postcodes, in between fits of coughing.

The final annoyance was that I said I had more venues I had visited, and they said they had no more space to list them! This was on about the sixth place. I tried to make sure they were fully informed but it was very 'computer says no'. All this when you feel really unwell isn't great.

The system is certainly focused in the wrong place. If you have given an email address you will have a form to fill in which you will have been emailed a link to. This will get them off your back to some degree. I however got phone calls at 8am every morning of my isolation. And if I didn't answer they rang again before 9am... then again.

So no don't worry about it. At somepoint - if you are well enough - fill in the online form and speak to them once. Beyond that the repeated missed calls I would ignore.

They called yesterday so early in the morning while I was half dead,i was so annoyed, I picked up. I asked if it was a legal requirement but they kept skirting around it, eventually the guy said no.
And as I'm writing this I've just recieved a text from my council saying they will call me regarding my positive case.
