Semi permanent/wash in out won't come out any help

(Sorry couldn't find a heading to put this under)

I have bleached blonde hair and used unicorn hair in purple. It says it last 10-12 washes which I didn't believe but it's been 10 washes and it's not moved at all.

Definitely wash in wash out.

I want it out does anyone have any advice on how to get it out? Please and thank you ☺️

Colour B4 to strip out the colour.

Then I used a toner to get the blonde back to normal (colour b4 strips it and makes the bleach orangey).

TheZeppo · 14/09/2021 21:17

Sorry- you can buy that at boots or online for about a tenner

romdowa · 14/09/2021 21:18

Head and shoulders shampoo is very good at stripping colour and is far cheaper and smells better than colour b4

snackodactyl · 14/09/2021 21:25

i can’t vouch for this but i can remember my hairdresser telling someone to use laundry liquid to wash it out…

CombatBarbie · 14/09/2021 21:49

Washing up. Liquid worked for me when blue hair chalk on my bleached hair refused to budge after a Halloween party a few years back. Took a few washes mind!

ScruffGin · 14/09/2021 21:50

Head and shoulders worked well for me, but took 5-6 washes

BelleOfTheProvince · 14/09/2021 21:51

Baby shampoo

QueenBee52 · 14/09/2021 22:01

Baking Soda and Head & Shoulders in equal parts..

wash hair with this for 4 days.. you should see an improvement..

Condition really well.. its very drying 🌸

vsegsw · 15/09/2021 11:31

Thank you all I got head and shoulders. Washed twice and nothing has happened

I'm getting worried now

I messaged the company and they said a clarifying shampoo (never heard of it before) has anyone used one? They just said it takes its time but this will not budge. I look like a cheap Halloween wig 🥲

Colour B4 only works on permanent colour. If yours is genuinely a wash in wash out product with no peroxide then it sounds like you might have stained the cuticle. It will be very tricky to budge.

Keep using a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioning but it might take bleach to remove the stain.

idontlikealdi · 15/09/2021 11:50

If your hair is pourous from bleach it's going to be hard to shift, it does probably say somewhere not to use on bleached hair.

MrsRubyMonday · 15/09/2021 11:52

Tresemme make a clarifying shampoo, it's called deep cleansing, the label has green writing.

LateMumma · 15/09/2021 12:21

Our hairdresser said washing up liquid to get out semi permanent. It worked in about 3 washes

RacheyCat · 15/09/2021 12:40

Steam your hair somehow. You can get those Loreal (or whoever) steam masks, right? Or find some way to really steam open the cuticle of the hair. Wash with head and shoulders. You can also use bicarb.

I go to a hair spa here where they steam my hair for about 20 minutes before washing it several times, and any colour is always gone by the time I leave.

RVN123 · 15/09/2021 13:06

If you have pre bleached hair the colour is going to set more than it would have otherwise because the hair shaft is different.
I'm sorry to say but my daughter is a very fair natural blonde, we used a blue dye on the last 5 inches of her hair for the summer holidays (washes out after 4 washes apparently) - it didn't come out. We tried all of the above methods, none of it worked, and we ended up having to cut her hair for the return to school!
I think it does say somewhere on the box that blonde or treated hair may come out more intense and last longer.
I did read on Superdrug's website that you can use crushed up Vitamin C tablets mixed with water to a thick paste to get hair dye out. No idea if it works because by that time we had cut the colour out.

herculesoffline · 15/09/2021 13:12

I had a blue over my bleached ends and could never get it out. I think there's something about blue dyes that just gets into the hair..

RavingAnnie · 15/09/2021 13:17

I'd just dye over the top. Something dark.

Not quite the same but I once tried to bleach out black dye and my hair went multiple colours. The hairdresser dyed over the top and it looked lovely.

You may want to consider getting a hairdresser to do it to try to avoid further hair damage.

Whyarewehardofthinking · 15/09/2021 13:20

You have stained your hair so no matter what you will struggle to remove the colour fully. The wash in/wash out is for virgin hair and all hair dyes would stain bleached blonde. Clarifying shampoo will help but I think you will need to redye it.

vsegsw · 16/09/2021 09:15

Aww I thought it wouldn't stain it's for bleached hair."? They recommend you use it on bleached hair. I've never had this bother before with wash in wash out colours. That would be really annoying since it says it will fully go on bleached hair

This is a low strength bleach which you could mix with a gentle shampoo.

I use a slightly stronger one to tone my (bleached) hair mixed with a wella toner when it gets too yellow and it's gentler/less drying even than the purple shampoo you can buy. Certainly gentler than washing up liquid would be!

If i were you i'd mix it 2 parts shampoo to one part of this bleach and see if it that works.

TempName01 · 16/09/2021 09:39

Try baking soda but it is quite drying
