To want dishwasher tablets that work and don’t smell like lemon?!

I absolutely detest anything ‘fake lemon’ smelling - especially cleaning products! And it feels like all the dishwasher tablets I usually use are slowly becoming lemon scented…it invades everything, everything has this horrible artificial lemon scent and it makes me gag, I used a spatula earlier and it made the food taste vaguely lemony.

I like actual lemon, but not fake cleaning product lemon.

I tried a few other brands (I usually use finish or fairy) and didn’t feel they cleaned as well?

Can anyone recommend dishwasher tablets that actually work and don’t stink?!

Aldi own are good, but I find costco Kirkland brand the best.

Costco kirkland here. They clean really well and no nasty smells

I use seventh generation... they clean really well, don't smell and don't leave your dishes tasting of chemicals. They're not cheap though and I can only seem to get them from ocado

Eew I so agree - why would I want my dishes to smell of toilet cleaner 🤮🤮. But I must be buying the wronf ecover as they have that smell in too 😭 . I end up doing an extra rinse, which rather defeats the environmental advantage....

Aldi ones are great and they don't have that lemon smell either.
The lemon smell always reminds me of public toilets.

Aldi - I've used them for years no problems.

I am also with you OP on the fake lemon smell. Who has even decided that it is "lemon"? It smells completely different, not even close.
Same for fake strawberry. It is not like it is simply a poorer version of the scent, it is completely different one.

The only two "fake" scents I can stand are pine (camphor?) and mint (menthol). I think because the aromatic compound there is actually the same as, or very similar to, the natural one.
