To have spent the afternoon I’m ‘hun heaven’ (lighthearted)

I wanted to raise a smile on this otherwise unremarkable Sunday.

Was looking down a friend’s FB and holiday photos today and the comments that ensued:
“Where’s that hun?”
Reply - “Lulworth Coce hun”

Cue much hunning and lolling in comments there after.

I almost commented - “if you two were into fishing you could call yourselves the ‘Net Huns’ .... but I thought it may not be appreciated ...

You have to love the Book of Face...

I also love the Facebook ‘emergency response’ memes..
“U ok hun?”
“Inbox me hun”

Hope everybody else’s day has been as productive/constructive as mine! 😂

A mum at school called me ‘Hun’ the other day, I just looked at her confused. I’m not a Hun kind of person.

My cousins use the word "hun" as frequently as I use the word "fuck", they sprinkle that hun shit around like glitter and I love it. There are eight of them, its like an explosion of blonde hair and big eyebrows, you know when they've arrived because the noise levels go up a hundred decibels and the whole room smells like a cross between Lady Million and Lambert and Butler. "Eeee, Clock hun, you look amazing!... how you doing hun?... do you want drink hun?... How's the bairns, hun?" and so on, all interspersed with swearing, name-calling, and truly hilarious storytelling. I come away from it feeling all warm inside and like I've spent the afternoon being verbally cuddled.

Huns can sit with me any time Smile

@Clocktopus I'm with you and the smoking huns, sounds fucking marvellous.

Didn’t used to mind the use of the word hun, when it’s being used in real life. A lot of scousers say it and it sounds quite warm and endearing in that accent, but hate seeing it in written form. It’s just comes across as so insincere and desperate.

SparklingLime · 13/09/2021 15:19

That sounds genuinely lovely, @Clocktopus.

Calling Facebook "the book of face" is a million times worse than using hun as an affectionate name. My best friend huns and babes me and I love it.
