He obviously doesn't have one, or any sort of stylist or advisor.
Even for a serious and solemn recorded speech such as the one shown today commemorating 9/11, his hair looks like he has just been dragged through a bush!

I thought the same, but you are being unreasonable as it's all done for effect.

IgiveupallthenamesIwantedareg0 · 11/09/2021 07:14

Don't bother. Carrie will just spend the donations on wallpaper.

chatw0o0 · 11/09/2021 07:16

Don't be a meanie - it's clearly a deliberate "I'm so busy I don't have time to even pat my hair down each morning". Or he's trying to cultivate some kind of foppish charm Grin

Joking aside, it does my head in, and I would happily contribute to a hairbrush fund!

FizzyDibdab · 11/09/2021 07:16

It's a deliberate ploy by Boris to make him look like the bumbling baffoon & more endearing to the public. Behind the class clown look is a calculating, manipulative & entitled schemer. He doesn't care about anybody but himself, he probably looks the same for his meeting with the Queen.

IsolaPribby · 11/09/2021 07:18

Perhaps if the fund raising goes well we could stretch to some lessons on how to use it?

He does it on purpose.

I see why as people talk about his hair not his appalling failure as a leader, including the fact his covid failures resulted in tens of thousands more deaths.

Can't even find him amusing.

Completely agree that it's a distraction tactic
AuraofDora · 11/09/2021 07:31

All part of a carefully crafted image as pp said to deflect from his piss poor inept and corrupt ‘leadership’.

Don’t call him Boris, he’s not your pal.

lannistunut · 11/09/2021 07:35

He is no one's 'pal'. He's a deeply unpleasant man.

IsolaPribby · 11/09/2021 07:46

I don't call him Boris because I think he's a pal. I call him that because Mr Johnson or Prime Minister are things I would only call someone I respect.

Mumoblue · 11/09/2021 07:49

He does it on purpose to distract from the fact he’s a cold-blooded elitist wanker. Sad thing is that it works on some people.

Surname is how we refer to PMs traditionally. Every other PM has gone by surname - both to their supporters and loathers.

Johnson has deliberately cultivated the 'Boris' persona to appear different.

Stop helping him out.

The correct way to refer to him is Johnson. The fact that is also slang for penis is a side issue.

SavoyCabbage · 11/09/2021 08:01

Same with him exercising in swim shorts.

Islamorada · 11/09/2021 08:02

Or may be you get a life and stop obsessing over Johnson’s hair?

caketiger · 11/09/2021 08:07

He'd spend the money on his current hair styling object of choice. Balloons.

knittingaddict · 11/09/2021 08:08

Don't bother. It's clearly a deliberate ploy and is meant to be disarming. It probably goes back to his childhood when it was adorable. He probably thinks it's still adorable even though he looks embarrassing to most of us. The thought of how it looks to the rest of the world makes me cringe.

If everyone did similar AIBU would be a very boring place!

staffieslobber · 11/09/2021 08:12

Yeah, it's deliberate and done as a distraction from all the awfulness.

HouseOfRunners · 11/09/2021 08:13

He does it on purpose. A colleague worked with him…she said it is his ritual before every interview, meeting etc. messes it up as much as possible just before he leaves the office.

TheQueef · 11/09/2021 08:18

Don't knock it.
That carefully cultivated, disarming tactic has allowed him to be PM and gain a majority.
It's working as intended.

Avocadodo · 11/09/2021 08:22

I'm kind of glad people notice and comment on it given how often women in power get comments about their appearance

Antsinyourpanta · 11/09/2021 08:23

He earns multiple times my salary while doing a shit job. (Not that I think I could fo any better)
I think he could stretch to adding a hairbrush to his ocado order.

This. Along with the whole "Boris" thing. It was one savvy PR bod who got him to drop the Alexander de Pfeffel + 46 other surnames. How they must laugh every time an article about his hair or Bumbling Boris appears to cover up their very very astute political decisions.

But, as this is clearly light-hearted I think it's time for Boris the Mango Stone to make a reappearance. DD made him last year and we did have a MN vote as to a) could you tell the difference? b) which one would get your vote?
