To think this is really rude?

My 7 month old has decided that 4am is an appropriate time to wake up and PLAY.

He also thinks it's appropriate to shout at me because I won't play.

AIBU to think this is really rude?

Also, totally unrelated, but does anyone know which recycling bin babies go in please?

Just put him back under the gooseberry bush, OP. Either that or you need a stork. I have been there, several times over - more fool me!

Florencenotflo · 10/09/2021 09:19

😂 definitely the green bin.

If it helps, mine are up every morning at 5:30. So now I am used to getting up at that time and having 3 hours to get ready and out the door. But this morning, they slept in until 6:15!!!! Both of them!!!! Which was great, but fuck me, just having 45 mins less has thrown me right off!

How dare they lay in on a work/school day, they'll be up at 5 tomorrow just to teach me a lesson!

Tashface · 10/09/2021 09:24

Yes, but if you recycle him, he'll just come back Grin

Mischance · 10/09/2021 09:26

Oh - dear - a rude 7 month old. I am sorry, but you are clearly not bringing him up right and are a hopeless parent. Shame on you!

DrManhattan · 10/09/2021 09:26

What happens to these babies?? Can't get them to sleep and then they hit 16 years and you cannot get them out of bed. What's that all about?

CoalCraft · 10/09/2021 09:29

Well my baby is very polite, she waits till 5:15. smug

Grin

Yes, and have turned into a rude teenager instead and the warranty will have run out by then. Teenagers are just recycled rude babies, IME. You have to deal with it decisively and quick.
GrandTheftWalrus · 10/09/2021 09:39

I just had to wake my 4 month up at 9.30am so dh can go to bed after a nightshift.

Even smugger than @CoalCraft

We got all ours from the John Lewis baby department and they will even send you a free returns label.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 10/09/2021 10:27

I think you're just not managing your baby right -
Sit your baby down for a performance review. Explain clearly how his actions are impacting on the team as a whole and, regretfully, you're going to have to write this up as his first formal warning. Ask him where he sees himself in 5 years time? I'm sure he's ambitious and wants to move on. If he wants to succeed in this business he can't just coast on good looks and charisma, he has to put the effort in. Maybe sign him up for CPD, e.g. a power-point presentation of relevant sleeping scenes from CBeebies to show him how it's done. I'm sure after this sort of on-the-job training you'll see an improvement in Q3.

Perhaps this is why John Lewis has been closing so many branches - too many babies being returned to store?
