Dishwasher Hacks

So tonight I’ve thrown in my dishwasher some Alessi steel polished trays, the whole draining rack, an anti garlic metal soap thing, a candle snuffer and wick trimmer, a plastic tray and the sink plug stopper thing.

Everything sparkles when it comes out, it’s magical there’s no way on earth they would ever look so good if I did them by hand.

It’s Got me wondering what else other people put in theirs?

I do my crystal vases and bowls and other porcelain objects, am I missing a trick?

My ceiling exhaust fans and glass light shades come out beautifully.

Definitely NOT the toilet brush!!!

I'm too busy making flavoured vodka in mine 🤣

@Vickles20 just a word of caution about doing this in the bath - the grease/grim has to go somewhere..... usually onto your lovely bath and it's a fecker to get off. If you can, wrap them in silver foil with the dw tab and some water in and leave them in a bucket you don't care about or outside 😉.

The hopper for used grounds and drip tray out of my Delonghi bean-to-cup. The manual says very clearly that no part of the coffee machine can go in a dishwasher but I am brave and lazy. Also all kinds of plastic packaging before I put it in the recycling, my water filter jug and the cat’s bowls, and the kitchen sink scrubbing brush. I would stop short at a loo brush if I had one though.

I try not to. It’s a crap dish washer and never seems to clean properly Confused

Oh and my dishwasher is a mini one so I chop the tablets in two.
