Not covid related - just in general do you have any go too’s to stop you coming down with general colds? I work in education, support staff, and tend to catch most colds going. I want to try and avoid them this year! Berocca, Epsom bath salts, yoga… do these healthy lifestyle things help in your experience?!

Hand sanitiser and Sambucol.

When there is illness in the household I try to have a humidifier on which apparently kills airborne viruses.

Vitamin D.

Fresh air. Does wonders for my mental health even if no effect on my physical health... I suspect this year using hand sanitizer and masks will also help ward off bugs.

Ditch the toxic anti bac and sanitiser for a start. This obsession with germ/virus control is damaging our immune systems, not helping them. You're killing good as well as bad bacteria. Soap and hot water is just as good.

A good diet, fresh air and exercise, and getting enough light on your skin to make vitamin D should keep you healthy.

Half a mug of orange juice topped up with hot water. Every day.

I’m a TA in the nursery class and I’m dreading the winter bugs the kids bring in Sad
I’m taking Vit D, a separate multivitamin, and eating lots of fruit, also drinking Kefir every day.
Fingers crossed 🤞

The uk doesn't receive the right wavelength of UV to convert vitamin D between approx September-April so any sunlight at this time of year is ineffective

It's one of the reasons you need to take a supplement

Lots of fruit and veg. We make soups quite often. Vitamin d and walking as often as you can.
