to ask for your help choosing new bedding, pic attached

Please lovely ladies I need assistance !

We need new duvet covers, pillowcases and fitted sheet for our bed. Current bedding is white with a bit of a flower on, pretty old and now the bottom sheet is holey I think it's about time we replace. We brought this bedding from abroad so it's been through many houses and wasn't bought to compliment our current room.

I think I used to be really good at interior design (although possibly this is my imagination ) but nowadays I just have no idea.

The room is wood floors and white walls excluding a wall with this paper on and it's the paper that I am having trouble finding something to go with it. I don't want it matchy matchy (that's not how it would be in a show home) but just to look like they actually compliment each other.

Can you help me out please? I have so many tabs of duvets open on my computer and have given up and decided to ask you lot instead as you know better

I hate pure white, flat bedding because it shows every crease and life’s to short to iron bedding.

I know you don't want a match but ironically dd has a duvet cover with that exact pattern.

I don't know what would look ok with the wallpaper, hence asking mn. I am not sure why that is any more odd than some of the threads on here
If you like it then it looks good to you and that's all that matters. Why do the opinions of random come into it? Personally I think white bedding looks shit and boring but lots of people trike it so it looks good to them and my opinion is irrelevant.

I have no idea if anyone would think my bedding "goes" with my walls or not. I just picked stuff I liked.

I really like plain white duvets, but I dont match with the pillowcases that either come as a set or buy separate. I would match up p/c with a colour/s from your wallpaper, but maybe in a different texture of material, or perhaps a self stripe. I have found some bargains in sales of colours that go with my colour scheme, last one was a set of 2 Dorma pillowcases from Dunelm that were £30, got them for £3.50.

As others have also suggested a throw or a couple of cushions to give a bit of depth to the bed.

I also like to have different sizes of pillows, king as well as square which are very comfy if ready in bed (or typing on MN!).

But I am particular on the tread count, and would never buy a cotton mix.

Oh just remembered, last week in TKmaxx bought a fab pair of 300thread count linen white p/c for £4.99, bargain. You can see I am not a fan of mixy matchy!
