Once dinners been cooked and before bed, what do you do? It’s so boring! Once cleaning is done and homework.. aibu to think we just sit around waiting for youngest to go bed 😩

Mon- DH goes to a hobby. I'll tidy up then kids will entertain themselves & I'll stick a tv show on. Usually a crime documentary.

Tues- same as above but DH is usually home (sometimes he goes off road biking with a mate)

Wed - DH & DS go to hobby my evening as above.

Thurs - I go out to my hobby. DH usually plays x-box I think.

Fri- my hobby again. DH has his friend round.

Sat -movie night with kids

Sun- chill, get kids sorted for school/DH & I for work & more chilling

Is that not depressing walking in to the kitchen in the morning?!

Less depressing than having to stop drinking wine and chatting with dh to do the pots. We just stack them at the side of the sink and wash them with the breakfast dishes. We hand wash.

We don't have kids so I don't know that this will be helpful but we: clear away dinner things and put the dishwasher on, watch a couple of episodes of something, go to bed and read for a couple of hours before sleep

We take the toddler into the garden to play usually. If it's REALLY wet we play inside or watch something. Usually there isn't much time between dinner and bed though. It's usually straight from high chair to bath on a week day.
