Do you suffer with incontinence / weak pelvic floor? Could you jump on a trampoline without leaking?

YABU = I have incontinence after a c section

YANBU = I don't have any continence issues

YANBU all fine. And I had 2.

I wouldn't say incontinence, but I still get pain from the catheter and can't do a big wee without stomach cramps.

ShinyHappySummers · 25/08/2021 07:53

I can't run because of my knees though 🙄😔

the NHS could afford to give more women planned c-sections. At the moment women put up with post birth problems, leading to lack of fitness and cardio health, which costs more in the long term. It makes my heart sink at the number of women I've heard casually say they can't run or do cardio due to their pelvic floor.
Someone on here once broke the numbers down and a planned CS was almost the same as a natural birth

My thoughts exactly. Since birth I've had physio, surgery, and therapy, not to mention countless GP appointments, and i also need another operation next year. Surely the cost if a c section would be lower than all that. I've also been told I can't run or life anything heavy anymore. Which has really affected my mental health since running and lifting weights was something I did regularly and I loved it. So it's hard not to feel jaded when a C section could have avoided all of that.

My first c-section was a fiasco.

I have endo in my scar. I have adhesions. I’m in agony with it every month. Not to mention a great big bloody apron that I can’t get rid of no matter how hard I try.

That good enough? I’m sorry you’re struggling but don’t minimise the experiences of others.

I have other issues from csections such as adhesions and endometriosis but thankfully pelvic floor is just fine after 2 of them.

Having said that, I would have still wanted my 2 sections over vaginal birth. My first was an emcs and I just decided to have a planned one next as I knew what to expect.

In the grand scheme of things I think I am doing well and not in daily pain from birth related issues.

I do however suffer from sacroiliac joint disfunction in my hips and the pain from that can be awful. But that's pregnancy related not birth.
