Posting for traffic as desperate for a bloody food hair mask!

I already use olaplex 3,4,5 & the new hydrating hair mask but don’t think much of that one to be honest! I also have been using label M honey & oat range but after a really moisturising hair mask for my dry highlighted hair. I’m going back to blonde so want to look after it the best I can!

Throw any other products you would recommend at me too!

Really appreciate any help

Good hair mask**

Kerastase have good hydrating ranges. Worth the investment IMO.

And no, I don’t think much of the olaplex mask either. All the retail range has a very diluted amount of the active ingredients. The only Olaplex products I really rate is the salon service (1&2)

MessyLifeCleanHouse · 23/08/2021 22:15

I love Kerastase but I honestly can’t understand which one to get. I’ll have another look thank you. Yeah I’m not loving the olaplex mask at all, it feels even dryer after!

Olaplex ruined my hair and made it even more dry.

I swear by the Garnier hair food, banana. I’ve compared it to much more expensive brands and it still is the best thing for my bleached hair

DonttouchthatLarry · 23/08/2021 22:17

I'm about to try Pureplex - some of the reviews on Boots and my hairdresser's other customers say it's better than Olaplex (and a lot cheaper).

hilbil21 · 23/08/2021 22:18

Another vote for the garnier hair food

SheABitSpicyToday · 23/08/2021 22:19

Bleach london do a hair resurrection thing which is awesome!

Hopeislost · 23/08/2021 22:19

Garnier hair food mask is great for moisturising. I rate the Inkey List PCA bond repair over Olaplex plus it's cheaper and easier to use.

bleachblondemom · 23/08/2021 22:20

The Smooth Move Moisture Mask from Cake. It’s pricey for just one sachet but it’s the only thing that makes my damaged hair feel like silk. But to treat the actual damage- Aphogee protein treatment to add in the hair proteins lost during bleaching, then the Bleach London repair mask (or Olaplex but you’ve already said you don’t rate it).
For cheaper regular-use conditioners I love anything from the Aussie range.

DuckyMcDuck · 23/08/2021 22:21

Elasticizer by Philip Kingsley. Makes my fine hair so soft and bouncy but doesn't drag it down. My sister also loves it and her hair is much thicker then mine.

bleachblondemom · 23/08/2021 22:21

Also agree with other posters who said Garnier hair food mask

Okbye · 23/08/2021 22:23

The Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating hair mask was a game changer for me 👌

Miliao · 23/08/2021 22:23

Elasticizer made my fine hair so greasy and limp and I couldn’t comb it wet as it felt like it was breaking. The bumble and bumble invisible oil is the best for my very fine and very fair hair.

I’ve used this before and loved it! But I thought because it was “cheap” it was no good and I should be looking at something more pricey! I’ll 100% be getting more thank you!

Olive oil and coconut oil for mine. Left it on for about 24 hours regularly during lockdown 1.0 when I dyed my brown hair blonde and hit shade in between multiple bleaches until it went back to normal condition.

Hask masks were good too, but the straight up regular oil worked best for me.

Thank you everyone. What a great response!

Those who recommended Garnier hair food, would you suggest the banana or papaya one?

Yes it is.

Pedalpushers · 23/08/2021 22:49

Olaplex is a strengthening/protein treatment so it isn't designed to hydrate - as PP said, if you use it too often it will have the opposite effect and make your hair dry and brittle. You should always balance it out with any treatment stated as hydrating, making sure it DOESN'T contain any protein ingredients such as peptides, hydrolysed protein, keratin etc which will all add to the dryness. Argan oil products are usually good or anything oil-based.

Banana definitely. I’d also suggest getting the soap and glory leave in 10 in 1 conditioner and applying daily. It can go on dry hair and does make a difference! Also agree with PP that olaplex won’t work on its own, needs hydration too.

Lee Stafford CocoLoco is really good , used it last night and my hair is super soft today. Not expensive at all either .
