The Tamam Shud case

Overoptimistix · 20/08/2021 23:18

Crime Junkie is a great podcast, there is also a paranormal one by the same presenter, Ashley Flowers.

BSintolerant · 20/08/2021 23:31

Another vote for the Unexplained podcast which someone has linked above - it’s excellent. Dark Histories is brilliant too: www.darkhistories.com/

Both podcasts have episodes on the unsolved murders at Hinterkaifeck and the disturbing events leading up to them.

The German Family who went missing in Death Valley in the mid 90s.

No one knew what happened for years until an experienced hiker decided he wanted to try and find them.

There’s a long read of his account -

Colonel Shue is definitely worth investigating.
One of the most bizarre things I have ever heard of, and I listen to mystery podcasts all the time.

Judy Smith
Asha Degree
David Glenn Lewis
The Springfield Three
Aileen Conway
Lindsay Buziak
Joan Risch

They are all equally baffling. They will keep you up all night. Reddit and true crime podcasts are where you should look if you like this sort of thing.

Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon - two young Dutch women who disappeared on a popular hiking trail in Panama. There are a lot of articles discussing the case online...

@HappyRaven

Didn't the people in the Dylatov pass incident suffer from hypothermia? I think I watched a documentary on it, but that was years ago.
Yes but it was their other injuries that are the mystery. Some had teeth missing, someone had chest injury that was consistent with being hit with something the weight of a truck, they had ripped their way out of the tent, someone was found in a tree others were separated in different groups far from the tent. So so weird.

I think there is often more to these disappearances than we want to know.

I believe that Andrew Gosden wanted to disappear. He drew money out of his account and deliberately travelled to London. We have no idea what someone’s family life is like or what their mental health might be like that could cause them to want to disappear.

I suspect we’ll never know.

Themadcatparade · 22/08/2021 08:45

We just started watching unsolved mysteries on Netflix which is good and sparks some interesting debates!

MrsToothyBitch · 22/08/2021 08:45

One that creeps me out- the Watcher of 657 Boulevard case.

MrsToothyBitch · 22/08/2021 08:47

Also Annie McCann- US case. Very strange & her poor parents just want answers.

Elderflower14 · 22/08/2021 08:51

Luke Durbin who disappeared in Ipswich in 2006. Last seen crossing a zebra crossing near the bus station. The car seen nearby has never been traced. Someone thinks they've seen him in London since..
I feel so much for his lovely Mum Nikki and his sister who's never given up looking for him!

youvegottenminuteslynn · 22/08/2021 10:21

Andrew Gosden still breaks my heart. He bought a one way ticket and it was out of character. I fear he was a victim of grooming and met up with someone in London and was then harmed. I hope so much that I am wrong and he is alive but doesn't want to be found. His family have been so brave and resilient keeping him front of mind and I really hope one day they get some answers so they can find peace.
