New to this but I’m kind of at the end of my tether. I’ve been with my partner for around 4 years, I have kids from previous relationship and things have been up and down. The problem is he seems to dictate what I should and shouldn’t be upset about, with litterally anything I bring up to him that bothers me, with him or anything else in general I feel he minimises things and regularly calls me pathetic and gets quite heated. Recently I caught him online commenting on some models page, 2 of them and the comments were “sit on my face” and comments about how beautiful they were and he loves their bodies etc. Now I don’t bother about him looking at other women etc, I’m not that jealous but I think this was a step too far and quite disrespectful, especially when he doesn’t necessarily even say those things to me! I brought it up to him and immediately was laughed at, told I was a psycho etc and I was pathetic and embarrassing and pretty much was warned to never bring up such “petty issues”. I explained to him it felt disrespectful and that it made me feel like shit but it fell on death ears. This isn’t the first time we’ve had this issue and as I said before I feel like he gets to decide between right and wrong..I really want to stand my ground this time and the principle and quite frankly the sleaziness of it

@DaisyEdinMarley1

Thanks for all your replies, I’m off on holiday this weekend to Haven. I’ve told him to stay put, taking my mum instead and I expect him to be gone when I get back
great - he sounds horrible
Cakequeen1988 · 19/08/2021 20:23

I would leave him, the latest incident aside he is regularly abusive to you x

moynomore · 19/08/2021 20:25

I despair that any woman needs to ask this question. Sorry OP, but this is outrageous behaviour on his part.

moynomore · 19/08/2021 20:26

Sorry! Just saw your latest. Well done. He's literally vile.

Opaljewel · 19/08/2021 23:13

What a disgusting chav he sounds. I'm embarrassed for you. You deserve far better!!!!

Opaljewel · 19/08/2021 23:15

I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean he is the major embarrassment! Enjoy your hol!

pheonixrebirth · 20/08/2021 14:54

Well done for being decisive and realising-how out of line he is. In my experience and a good few of my friends relationships, the moment they called me crazy etc, I absolutely knew that they were no good. Anyone who truly loves and cares about you would take your concerns seriously. In any case though if I were in a relationship with anyone who thought that telling another woman to "sit on his face" whether online or in real life is a scumbag.

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 20/08/2021 15:01

He'd have been gone the first time he called me pathetic, frankly. I've no time for people who name call past the age of 12, especially to the partner they supposedly love.

Mmicro · 20/08/2021 16:40

He’s one of those men that aren’t going to get better. Never ever ever.
Glad to see you are ending things.

Italiangreyhound · 20/08/2021 16:42

He's a twat. Leave

DaisyEdinMarley1 · 20/08/2021 23:13

Thank you! I mean every single person that’s replied to this post. Every comment has really helped, this is the first time I’ve spoken about it openly, I’ve spoken about it with friends too but haven’t given too much away, i don’t have much family it’s really just me and my mum and I never want to worry her. It’s just good to hear that I’m not mad because I’ve been stuck in an echo chamber with him! I’m trying to look at the positives I’m on holiday, I’ve had half a bottle of wine and sat outside a caravan in the pissing rain, the WiFi is shit so it’s taken 4 hours to reply 😂 I’ve spend 100 already in the daft Haven arcades 🤦🏼‍♀️ BUT and I graduate with Midwifery in November and hopefully I can move on..I’m dreading getting home and dealing with getting him to leave but I’ll do it, I’m so fed up but this has really helped & I don’t know a single one of you! Ps can u tell I’m drunk?

If he refuses to leave call the police. They'll hoof him out of there.

Hankunamatata · 20/08/2021 23:24

You def made the right call. No ones partner should call them pathetic, embarrassing or belittle them

SanFranBear · 20/08/2021 23:28

You got this, Daisy

Cherrysoup · 21/08/2021 00:47

Ugh, he’s disgusting! You’re well rid.
