To let my hair get greasy?

How unprofessional is it to go to work with greasy (tied-back) hair?

If I don't wash mine every day it looks greasy on the second day. But if I do wash it every day, it just gets dull and dry at the ends.

Washing every two days seems to be OK as it looks nice at least every other day. But I think I must look scruffy in my smartish workplace.

When you see someone with unwashed hair, do you judge them?

Dry shampoo seems to create the same drying-out problem, and I don't like the white marks.

Everyones hair is different. My good friend has to wash hers everyday or by the second day it looks awful.

I do mine more weekly 😆 but mines dry and curly

It’s greasy probably because your shampoo is too strong for your scalp / hair type. Your scalp goes overboard trying to replace oils. I had the same problem which went away completely when I started washing with conditioner only (once or twice a week). I use a conditioner for greasy hair and it changed my life.

Also, try using a hot brush instead of a hairdryer. It reduces the seventies puffed end look

Someone I work with ties her hair back really tightly and washes her fridge, fringe clean, you assume the rest of the hair is. Assuming you have a fringe...

Fringe, not fridge! Confused

I was going to suggest what @stillcrazyafterall has. I used to do this, over the sink with a tiny bit of shampoo on my fringe or the wispy bits I leave out of a ponytail. Then a little bit of dry shampoo at the crown.

My hair is similar to yours OP and I've spent lockdown trying not to wash it as much. Not sure if it's definitely related but my hairdresser has said my hair is so much thicker and in better condition compared to 12-18 months ago.
