Holiday park with toddler - too big for travel cot but not in own bed yet

Hi ladies, not sure if I’m asking for the impossible here but we are looking to book to go away for Christmas. Myself, my partner and our daughter.
She will be 2 in November and at home she is in a cot still in our room. We plan to move her straight into a single bed in her own room next year but for now she will stay with us.
When we try to book at a holiday park they only let us book 2 bedroom lodges because she will be 2 when we go. But we will only need one room. I wouldn’t mind but can’t justify the cost difference when we won’t be using the extra room.
I contacted Centre parcs live chat and they said we cannot book a one bedroom lodge if she is 2. Their travel cot is not suitable for her but we would bring our own. She still said it’s not allowed.
I’m also looking at Bluestone but again I’m worried their policy will be the same.
Am I being unreasonable?
Thanks ladies

I think lots of places have this type of policy, I don’t know whether it is an absolute requirement but if you didn’t have some kind of cutoff you’d potentially end up with a family of 5 in a 1 bed lodge on ready beds, which is not safe (in the case of fire) or a brilliant idea.

Center parcs bedrooms won't have room for a full size travel cot usually. The 2nd bedroom you can ask for bed rails to be put on one of the beds, and then maybe one of you could sleep in the 2nd bed so you'd be close by?

We went for the first time when our son was just over 2 and this worked well for us. We lay with him til he fell asleep and then if he woke he came and found us in the other bedroom.

The cot they provide is a standard cot size, not cot bed, and would be far too small for a 2 year old usually!

We stayed in one of the hotels at Butlins which is one room but contains an alcove with bunks for children, you can bring your own travel cot with you there. We took the train and they wouldn't let me book a travel cot for health and safety as my child is also over two, but at check in they asked us if we wanted one and we said yes.

Butlins isn't for everybody but our two year old loved it and the hotels at Bognor are really nice and a fraction of the price of Center Parcs, plus there is tons of free stuff for little ones to do!
