To think they’re something not right with my 3 year old?

Whenever we go away to stay overnight anywhere he’s an absolute nightmare. He doesn’t sleep, when he does fall asleep (late) he wakes up about 5am, he hardly eats, he doesn’t want to do anything, he cries and moans the entire time. It’s horrible to witness and I always feel bad as I want him to have a nice time. This even happens when we go to stay at my parent’s house, they live about 5 hours away, so we normally stay for a couple of nights. Which is what we’re doing at the moment.

Urgh this morning has been an utter nightmare. We’ve got 3 more nights and he’s been horrendous this morning. We went to the beach (my parents live near to the beach) and he just cried the whole time and said he wanted a cuddle. He wouldn’t let me put him down at all and when I went to the toilet he started screaming.
He didn’t want to play on the beach at all, hasn’t eaten any breakfast.

Sorry I didn’t explain well. My comment was in response to a poster saying that the problem was caused entirely by the child being 3 in a ‘what did you expect’ way. I was saying that my 3 year old was fine to prove that it’s not purely because the OPs child is 3
