I randomly bought a euromillions ticket for last night (very rare for me). Checked my numbers and only matched one, so no riches for me Grin

The jackpot was £96 million. Out of interest, I looked and nobody had won, but three people matched 5 + 1 bonus (so one number missed).

Each won the grand total of...

£158,344.30.

Now that figure is nothing to be sniffed at of course, but I don't think I've ever managed to match more than two numbers, so if I'd landed 5 + 1 I'd probably have run around screaming thinking I was a millionaire, telling everyone I knew, and only THEN checked how much I'd won.

I'm not going to lie, I would have been sorely disappointed. The difference of potentially one digit meaning a win of ~£96 million less would just be too much Grin

I'd definitely be sulking. Initially anyway. It doesn't bear thinking about Grin

I agree! Back in 1994 when it all just started I was a student and got a ticket for one of the early draws, and got 4 numbers plus the bonus ball. It was 5 out of 6 numbers. Honestly i nearly died. Got £67.

It would be better to put a couple of quid on the horses each week!
