Just after your opinions, I’m not sure how I feel.
I visited a replay Jeans store recently, after a pair of jeans. There was a specific pair of jeans I quite liked and the assistant very kindly helped me in ‘finding my size’.
I went to try it on and realised pretty much straight away that it was too long. Why a jeans assistant wouldn’t ask your leg is beyond me but oh well.
I stepped out to look in the mirror outside and the sales man sweeps in to the small area.
My I total thought was, how long has he been stood outside of the room waiting for me to change? I felt really odd and creeped out.
He asked me if the jeans fit and I said that it was too long and asked him what leg it was. To which he responded ‘well I fold mine up and you can have them tailored’
He didn’t answer my question.
I went back in the room and pulled the curtain and tried a second pair on and as I came out he was already stood there. Again I thought it was a bit odd put I put it down to over pressuring sales tactic.
By the end of three jeans, I just wanted to get the hell out of there because I just felt odd. He asked me about the jeans and I just paid for one and got the hell out of there.
I didn’t want the jeans , I just want him to go away.
Slightly annoyed at myself but should sales men be allowed to hang around the changing rooms with female customers? And turn up within split seconds of female customers changing. I find it bloody creepy.
And was this ‘helpful’ thing , remaining outside of my changing room a sales tactic to pressure me into buying something?
AIBU? Your thoughts please
