Food waste bin.

For ALL the years it’s been a thing I’ve said just carry the small one outside and empty it into the big one.

DH just likes to pick the bag up out of it.

Today it’s caught up with him and the contents have just spilt all over the kitchen floor.

Bin juice fucking everywhere.

I’m boaking. He thinks it’s amusing.

It’s defo LTB territory isn’t it?

Honestly I’m beyond it. Just bloody common sense. Of which he has little.

Very bloody clever, but a complete fucking knob in the common sense respect.

Having worked as a lunchtime supervisor and spilt the contents of an over full bag all over in the interests of 'saving time and hassle' I'd have treated it as a learning opportunity for him.

I'd have loved a friendly food bag fairy to clean it up but that didn't happen and it shouldn't have for him. It went out neatly tied in its compostable bag to the main bin in the bin with the carrying handle from then on.

Doesn’t matter if you tie it up and the arse falls out of it though

Only if you leave it long enough for it to get sweaty.

Shirleyphallus · 08/08/2021 20:58

@Potatoy

I cleared it up as apparently it was my fault as he didn’t realise the bag was compostable. oh god he's one of them..
Oh god, she’s one of them….

How long the bag had been left is really not the point of the thread.

@Singlebutmarried

I didn’t tell him to clean it up as it would appear that he’s in the ‘I’m right’ zone.

So it’s easier just to mop the ducking juice up and piss off to bed.

Sad act can sit by himself downstairs

This makes no sense.

No way would I have cleaned it up.

Seriously wondering why women are still so under the thumb in thisday and age.

I agree none of this makes any sense.

You cleared it up. You’ve gone to bed early.

He gets to sit downstairs, watch what he wants to on TV etc.

NigellaSeed · 08/08/2021 21:13

Yabvu for cleaning it up.

P.s caddy out, tie it up, then bag out into bin. Dettol caddy.

@DeadGood Actually, it kind of is. I’ve only ever had a bag split on me when it had been in the small bin long enough to get sweaty and split, much like OP’s. I don’t carry the small bin out to the big bin, and apparently neither do most of the posters commenting. If OP cleaned up the bin juice, that’s on her - she could and should have left it for him.

So what do you think the point of the thread is?

AffableApple · 08/08/2021 21:17

This thread is a waste of time because you cleaned up after him

beastlyslumber · 08/08/2021 21:24

I can't believe you cleaned it up. I can't believe he laughed and let you clean up his mess. He sounds horrible.
