Locally I love North Wales. Anglesey and Cardigan bay in particular. Blue flag beaches, historical stuff and stunning walks full of wildlife. Horse riding, boat trips etc all available.
Kids like Blackpool, so I like it as a child orientated break.
I like hustle and bustle. I loved Egypt. Again ancient history, a coral reef to snorkel around, great food. Morocco was good, but I've heard that there's been a change over the last few years and the vibe is different. Likewise London and Edinburgh. Next time I visit Edinburgh I'm doing the zoo. The pandas are only temporary and might not be there in a couple of years. I haven't been to Hampton Court Palace and want to go.
Stratford upon Avon is worth a visit.
If going with children who are starting off snorkeling, I like Cyprus. It has nicely slopping beach coves into the sea full of fish at wading depth. It has a nice mix of things to do and good food.
I struggle in places like India, I can't live in luxury knowing the deep poverty that's not far away.
Scotland, in particular the Cairngorms, is on my definite to do list. There's a wildlife place in Yorkshire that has Polar bears, so I'd like to go there. I'd do some walking etc while there. I'm in my 50's and we don't know how long our mobility will last, so I'm making the most of it.
