Bloody hell im getting old. I actually thought the darked on thing was something that might happen but i didn't know what it was. This being the west of Scotland i have only recently hung my washing out at night as i knew for 100% certain it wouldn't rain. This guarantee happens once in a lifetime up here.

Anyway nothing happened to it, except it got dry.

Now i know the darked on thing is just a joke i might try it again during the next heatwave...

I once got pissed up and stayed over at my friends house and at 2 or 3am, decided to unpeg all her washing and switch it with her neighbours.

Forgot I'd done it until later on that morning when friend and her neighbour were both stood there looking at each other's washing on their lines and going "WTF?"

Nothing to offer but you just reminded me of it.

I spent ages drunkenly switching that washing over and laughed my tits off the whole time as well.
