You know when you're in a meeting or training event and they make you go around the room with an interesting fact about yourself or "something no body knows" or "claim to fame"

I've had so many of these come up and I never know what to say. Just thinking about it is making my heart race.

Am I the only one??

@GiantToadstool

I am far too interested in the swinging (what was it like, are there always nibbles, waht made you stop, what were the people like, how did you initiate sex!? Was it after 5mins of small talk....) obviously if it was work related would be highly inappropiate to ask you Smile
Haha nibbles Grin nibbles were not available but usually a tray of Prosecco. I stopped because I stopped seeing the guy who I went with and I wouldn't go as a single woman...

Yes basically there's 5 minutes small talk then someone will lean in and kiss you and bang, you're off!

@nonotmenotI

Oh god I had to do this at a work meeting. I told them I ate a llama once and they never forgave me for it.
Very original!!

I can't help but rescue earthworms who are drowning in a mud puddle.

It's true and I get a laugh every time.

Your suggested response was pretty much my reply but the interviewer wasn't having any of it as she seemed to think that everyone meets with conflict in the workplace on a regular basis and kept pushing for an example. Obviously I'm too easy going.

The offer to use it at my next interview is much appreciated but at the age of 72 and having been retired for just over 10 years I don't find myself at a lot of job interviews these days Grin

Make something up. I tell the world I lost my virginity to Richie Sambora.. it’s not like Richie is going to deny it. Everyone goes ‘oooh.. Aaah..

And we move on.

Now, if they knew who I really lost my virginity to… that would be a story :)!

Pause.

No thank you.

At a variation where you had to chat with another person and tell the room something about them, I chatted with a bloke who told the room that I had spent six months with a tribe in the Amazon area.

Of course, this was not true and had no relation to anything that I had actually said to him.

You could say you were once on a course/event and the trainer was stabbed by an attendee after for doing that interesting fact icebreaker
