Want medical treatment, have a covid test!

After spending a few days in hospital with DC. I was really shocked to hear one adult refuse to have a covid test and refuse consent for their DC to have one prior to their DC having an operation where a number of surgeons, nurses and staff will be working on their DC.

I was disgusted. I just felt so sorry for the CEV and critically ill children on the ward, the doctors, nurses and staff who tire endlessly to save lives and all of us who have sacrificed things in our own way to help protect other people.

That other adults DC could have had a test whilst unconscious on the operating table and the adult could have been an adult about it and just do the test.

I did the test and agreed to my baby to being tested. It wasn't that traumatic for the baby, they just did a little tickle on the back of the throat and all was well.

So, IMHO if you want medical treatment then you must have a covid test. Why should the NHS help you if you won't help them?

Was totally expecting to be tested last week when DD2 (10) was referred to the Dental Hospital as an emergency, but we weren't. Confused

This is disgusting.

We ought to have functioning legal systems where the doctor can literally call up a duty court official 24/7 and request a mandatory Covid test for the child who’s having the op. And mandatory ejection from the hospital immediately for this parent. Some people are such pieces of shit.
@itsgettingwierd. I have no idea how what "needs" in the entire universe mean you can't take a test if you need medical treatment. Heck s needle in your arm to draw blood is worse than a covid test! Hmm
Well it's not that difficult to understand a late stage dementia patient may not be able to have a covid test.

Or someone with severe LD.

They struggle enough with the usual tests and can't always even be complaint for them
