Also, just imagine a female politician with six named children from two marriages and other “unknown” children elsewhere.

Quite. Remember Theresa May coming under fire because she didn’t have any children? Of course Boris can be down on Wikipedia as having ‘at least 6 children’ and that not be considered a national embarrassment though.

Terhou · 01/08/2021 09:27

Perhaps he's single-handedly trying to build up the population again to compensate for all the deaths his incompetence has caused.

It’s almost the opposite. I remember when Cherie Blair was pregnant with Leo some commentators saying how great it was to have a virile youthful PM.

@ToomuchHeat
I think that’s unfair. Covid was unprecedented and he and his TEAM made decisions they thought were best. You cannot get everyone to agree on what’s best, there’s no previous experience of this. Mistakes were made but overall I think he’s done a great job after being thrown into a global pandemic immediately after brexit. Poor guy deserves a break and to show us what he truly stands for.

You think he's done a "great job"?! Unfortunately, I don't think you are being sarcastic. I think we all know what he stands for.

ToomuchHeat · 01/08/2021 10:48

@Mymapuddlington wish I was one of his mates who made millions out of it...

A bit if education for you see above....

He is corrupt, a bigot, homophobic, sexist and racist. I have 3 doctors in my family who risked their lives for people like you and me - not him sitting in his gilded cage.

I like him a lot 🤷‍♀️ have been a labour voter all my life but will be voting for him again.
You’re never going to get anyone you consider perfect in government but yes I think he’s done a great job in unprecedented times.

@Yellownotblue

Considering they have to get Tory donors to pay their existing nanny, they obviously cannot afford another child. They could do with some good old-fashioned Tory advice, and only have the children they can afford.
This is my only thought on Boris and Carrie having another kid. There’s been numerous articles saying he can’t afford his current lifestyle and he won’t make any changes. Tory donors pay for the nanny. Most of his other children I think are adults now so won’t need child support and he still scrounges money for his youngest. Not to mention those are just the kids we all know about.
LeftHanded88 · 01/08/2021 11:07

What business is it of yours?

CounsellorTroi · 01/08/2021 11:08

And yet the Tories want to discourage the plebs from having kids they can’t afford. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

2LostSoulsSwimmingInAFishBowl · 01/08/2021 11:15

It’s not really anyone’s business @LeftHanded88 but the hypocrisy is pretty brazen. When you are part of a party with policies like the Tories and behave the way Boris does it takes a piss quite a bit and it’s to be expected that (some) people are going to have something to say about it.

PearlFriday · 01/08/2021 11:17

@Terhou

Hasn't he worked out what's causing all these babies?
ha ha !

Do you mean he’s introduced a one child rule like China? If so I haven’t heard of it.
IsThePopeCatholic · 01/08/2021 11:37

He’s obviously not doing his bit for the planet, then. What a twat.

Spidey66 · 01/08/2021 11:45

AIBU? About what? Are you Carrie?

Otherwise your opening post makes no sense.

x2boys · 01/08/2021 11:48

@BendyTrendy

Last time they announced they were having a baby, Boris later balanced the announcement with news about a plague and how many of us were going to die. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

Wine

Well of course Boris is single handedly responsible for the pandemic 🙄

Do you think its a good thing people were having children they couldnt afford to support?

You're right no government is perfect.

But THIS government has actively killed people by its incompetence by giving contracts to their mates.... By doing this they have indirectly killed hundreds of deaths on the frontline.

I'm amazed... How can you ignore the evidence of what a racist homophobe he is??

Washimal · 01/08/2021 11:53

He must really love her to have even more children

I can't tell if you're joking or not.

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 01/08/2021 11:53

PS all the vaccine roll out was largely due to the scientists and the NHS staff...

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 01/08/2021 11:55

Also I think it's telling that many of his existing kids seem to refuse to have anything to do with him (how many were at their wedding for example?)

Washimal · 01/08/2021 12:03

You’re never going to get anyone you consider perfect in government but yes I think he’s done a great job in unprecedented times

The bar really is set so depressingly low isn't it? Our PM is openly racist, islamaphobic and homophobic and doesn't even know the meaning of the word integrity. He is a proven liar, his government is rotten with corruption, the man cheated on his wife and mother of his children while she was undergoing treatment for cancer FFS and people just shrug and say "well, nobody's perfect I suppose" Hmm

No. But it shouldn't be one rule for Boris and another for everyone else.

x2boys · 01/08/2021 12:18

It isnt one rule for Boris and one rule for everyone else is it people are free to have as many children as they want, its just they wont get tax credits for a third child, im assuming Boris and Carrie are not in receipt of Tax credits /Universal credit?

Namechangeforthisquestion7 · 01/08/2021 12:26

If you're announcing that YOU are expecting a child by Boris then no YANBU to be concerned about the situation, although you'll be joining a club of several Boris mamas so you won't be alone. If you are referring to the baby that Boris and Carrie are expecting then yes YABU to start a thread about it. It's no one else's business but theirs.
