Sorry I know it’s not really AIBU but need urgent help.
I was at work and had parked my care off road this morning. Just came back to drive home but it’s submerged in water. If I open the car door some water will definitely come in. I am not sure what to do! Will i be able to drive tomorrow once water level is down or do I need to call insurance. Any advice please.

@justasking111

You won't be the only one stuck. If it's getting deeper leave the area now go find somewhere safe
As above i would walk home or leave the flooded area to somewhere else. I know zero about cars but I wonder if (as well as not starting it of course) that it would be best to leave it and come back when it has 'dried out a bit'.... I am sure the AA will advise you.

How was the car today op?

ChunkySloth · 26/07/2021 13:32

@PotteringAlong

Where did you park it?!
East london is currently knee deep atm.
PotteringAlong · 26/07/2021 13:58

@ChunkySloth I know that now! But not a drop of rain here and I hadn’t seen the news at that point!

Hi , thanks again and just to update you all. My car is right off and now I’m looking used car. I have always had Mercedes Benz and will be looking for something around 15k ( this what I am likely to get).

Is the exhaust submerged?

If not can you climb through the boot?
