To miss Matt Hancock?

Not that I think he was any good at his job, he was absolutely fucking useless. But I found him so unintentionally funny, he was the gift that kept on giving. A gift to those post who make memes as well. Who can we take the piss out of and laugh at now? Politics and the news has suddenly got very boring with his absence.

That video is priceless. One Twitter poster commented on the pelvic thrust at 7 seconds. Yes. Totally there. 😂😂

No fan of Hancock but I do believe that he was the only one holding out against the ‘let it rip’ contingent, and that’s why he had to go. I don’t trust Sajid one bit , he has no interest in the NHS and even less in the pandemic, he just wants to behave as if it’s not government’s concern any more, if you get Covid it’s your fault.

Boris is completely incompetent and always has been and is also terminally bored of Covid; he has the attention span of a gnat and has reached the stage of metaphorically putting his fingers in his ears when someone brings the subject up. Bizarrely I do miss Hancock even though he’s a sleazeball.

boobot1 · 22/07/2021 07:52

@LaurieFairyCake

He's been TREATED POORLY ShockShockShock

Hes fucked around on his wife and kids ! His kids have had to go to school and have all their mates know their dad has shagged someone in his office

Hes a total sleaze

Not to mention the whole nursing home scandal!
NeonJellyBaby · 22/07/2021 07:55

@newnortherner111

I cannot miss someone complicit in thousands of deaths that could have been avoided.

OP do you miss Fred West or Harold Shipman?

Oh come on that’s a ridiculous thing to say. He’s a bit of a prat, but essentially harmless and he’s not a raging psychopath like a lot of the current government. I think he genuinely meant well in what he did even if it didn’t always go to plan. Well actually most of the time it didn’t, but you know what I mean. I don’t think anyone else could have done it better. We’ve not been in this situation in over a 100 years, it’s unprecedented in living memory.

He shouldn’t have had an affair. But quite frankly MPs are like footballers in that respect, they’re all at it and I’m more surprised when they don’t have a bit on the side. I bet she chucked herself at him anyway, he must have thought all his birthdays and Christmas had come at once 😂 Classic mid life crisis.

I agree. I think after being blamed for the initial spread Hancock became more cautious and was wavering on ‘freedom day’. I think Boris decided to get rid of him to ensure it would go ahead. It’s no coincidence that the first thing Javid did was tell the paper that ‘freedom day’ would go ahead. Hancock’s a complete fool, but the others are so calculated it’s scary.

NeonJellyBaby · 22/07/2021 08:06

@MagicSummer my mum always fancied him as well 😂

Covid patients being discharged to nursing homes is something I will never forgive this government for.

The handling of the pandemic has been utterly shambolic and when you consider they did an exercise on just this situation in 2016 which cost an absolute fucking fortune, it's been a disgrace!

Pinchoftums · 22/07/2021 08:17

That video is do awful (and hilarious). The woman surely would have got a big red flag about joining the Tories.

AnnaSW1 · 22/07/2021 08:18

Actually you're right! I liked watching his facial expressions

ShitPoetryClub · 22/07/2021 08:57

Miss him? ConfusedYeah about as much as a dose of dysentery.
He is stupid and an embarrassment. How do these people end up running the country?
We should be voting for people with intelligence and integrity, not on the basis of who will give us the most laughs or who is the biggest "lad".

Turquoisesol · 22/07/2021 09:06

That video is hilarious. Janey godley does a good version of it too. Not sure how to link but if you search janey godley Matt Hancock is should come up

Youdiditanyway · 22/07/2021 09:13

I feel that way about Trump. Have barely heard a thing about the Biden administration this year but Trump made headlines at least once a week, for all the wrong reasons granted but he did provide a few laughs.

newnortherner111 · 22/07/2021 09:17

@NeonJellyBaby I disagree, I am sure there are many Conservative MPs who could have done better. Just as I know Michael Gove, Jeremy Hunt, Sajid Javid or Andrea Leadsom would have acted sooner in March 2020 on the pandemic than Boris Johnson.

Yes, Matt Hancock was out of his depth, but that does not make him not complicit.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing
Matt Hancock maybe many things but to compare him to Fred West and Harold Shipman is ridiculous
The fact is Matt Hancock was in the job until very recently, others may or may not have done a better job but we will never know.

GrandmaSteglitszch · 22/07/2021 09:27

This was a good wheeze from Johnson, tho.
Stuck in a box on Freedom Day. Grin

Harmeless? tell that to the families of 130k dead people?

Yes its the womans fault.... again! i take it you are Gina's best mate and she told you this? or your just making up shit as you go along?

So the standards we hold our leaders too is footballers? (though some are clearly a lot better than this shower)

Costumeidea · 22/07/2021 09:40

Talking of Matt Hancock….(I saw this online and it made me full on belly laugh)

Here's the Janey Godley video.

Yes Janey Nicola's greatest cheer leader. Scotland's record of putting covid patients is worse but this goes under the radar. Ian Blackford calling for a covid enquiry. What about Scotland?
MagicSummer · 22/07/2021 09:45

@Costumeidea - what's wrong with closing the fridge door with your hip? I do if I have stuff in each hand.

You are both clearly meant to be ❤️

Turquoisesol · 22/07/2021 10:06

I can just imagine the 10m sprints in sports direct 😂

DontLookEthel · 22/07/2021 10:47

I miss him because he was weird and different.

Very funny without meaning to be. Like when watching William Shakespeare, the first man to have a covid jab. He couldn't stop himself from laughing at the name, realised too late it was inappropriate so tried to turn it into pretend crying instead.

And the time he signed off from an interview by saying "Thank you, it's good for you to have me on."

The started expression on his face as he tried to work out what he'd just said was priceless Grin.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 22/07/2021 10:54

Oh god he definitely does the 10m sprint trying trainers on Grin Bet he bounces on beds in shops too

GlutenFreeGingerCake · 22/07/2021 10:59

Hancock was useless and did some big cock ups, but the new health minister is really the minister for getting the economy going at all costs and is shady af.
