To want to become a play therapist?

I have worked in schools as an SEN support for years and I have an undergrad degree in Sociology, my plan was to do my PGCE and start teaching, I did the first week of the course and then left because my anxiety was so bad.
Since then I’ve got my anxiety under control and I’m desperate for a career change. I’ve wanted to work in mental health for a long time now, but I also want to work with children so I thought this was the ideal scenario.

Has anyone got any experience of working in this field? I’d love to hear from you.

I work in this field.

I don't have a specialist play degree but do have post graduate certificates in therapeutic work with children which included a lot of play therapy.

Colleagues have stand alone play therapy qualifications.
