My DH tested positive and so I have been isolating with him. My 10 days are up tomorrow, I have no symptoms, but my boss says I can't go back until I have a negative test, a proper one not a lateral flow. That could add days to my return date. Can he legally do this??

My health and safety person tried to tell him exactly the same today - in fact she said our whole family needed a negative PCR test before dh could go back to work ( DS1 tested positive and we have done 10 days isolation). DH queried this because our ds2 ( who works in health and safety) has been allowed back without any test. She then backed down and said there had been a misunderstanding and dh could go back whenever he wants.

Interesting, thanks for replies. And apologies, I should have said that I did have a test when DH tested positive, but work want another one now to prove Im still negative. The reason Im irritated is that the turn around where I am is not especially fast for some reason so Im still stuck home and Im not convinced that boss' request is what is actually required! I have now got one booked for this afternoon tho Hmm
