Am I reckless for going ahead with this holiday?

Due to go on holiday in a couple of days to Jersey for a week, however the amount of cases of covid on the Island have risen quite a bit and there are currently around 1,500 active cases out of a population of around 100,000. It's been on the news that by next week there could be 500 new cases a day. Am I being reckless in still going ahead with the holiday. If you test positive you have to isolate for 14 days, the thought of being stuck isolating in a hotel room for 14 days could give me nightmares.

Anyone got any helpful advice

But you won't be able to stay in the hotel if you test positive, the room will be booked for the next visitors. Maybe it's some ex army barracks or similar?

Apparently 90% of the active cases at the moment in Jersey are from people who are not double vaccinated so a lot of younger people are the ones catching at the moment, fingers crossed that we don't catch it.
