3 year old stomach hurting and vomiting

First time mum, which may be quite obvious.
Dd started vomiting this afternoon, proper vomit, she never has before, saying her tummy is hurting. What do you do, watch and wait, call the doctors? Is this fairly normal? Temperature is normal. She’s pale and quite listless, has been like this once before but no stomachs ache and only spit up type sick (sorry tmi)

@TheFairyCaravan She was touching her tummy and saying it hurt before she was sick the first time, but the vomiting would’ve made it worse for sure 😕

@Marmite27 No diarrhoea, the opposite, no poo yesterday and hard, small one today 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hmm, yeah normally sickness bugs show up within 48 hours or so after exposure.

When my toddler got sick on that Saturday I became ill on Wednesday and my husband on Thursday but we probably got infected when he started recovering on Monday.

Can you contact the parent of the other child she played with to find out if the child had being sick before their playdate?

My ds had diarrhoea sat and then sickness all day Sunday. By Sunday night late on he was okay. Dd1 started sickness at 1am this morning, dd2 started at 3am! Been on and off all day. Not eaten all day just small sips of water

Where is the pain? My friend was vomiting copiously with appendicitis.

My ds was so close to being hospitalized with vomiting (France) and, as a last resort they gave him grenadine juice - something peculiar to its sugars can stop a gastro in its tracks. It worked immediately.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. There are several new symptoms for delta other than the cough/temperature/loss of taste.

If you exhibit any one (or any combination) of the old or new symptoms a PCR test is required. Lateral flow tests are only if you do not show symptoms.

The new symptoms are:
Runny nose
Sore throat
Vomiting (especially in small children)
Diarrhoea.

I stand by my first comment, you need to get her a PCR test.

Thanks all, she just lay on the sofa for a few hours watching Peppa pig. Fallen asleep next to me in bed an hour ago, asking for water lots, so obviously thirsty. Not vomited since around 7.30 or so, hoping that’s the end of the vomiting. She was just very tired 😕

Has she had a pcr test OP?
