Considering asking for more child maintenance?

Ex partner pays and always has paid the basic child maintenance. We agreed he would take our DD eow which suited both of us and also some holidays.

For the past year he hasn't had her for weekends or holidays. At first this was due to covid restrictions but this didn't change after gov announce separated parents were allowed to still see their children.

Ex partner had never asked to see DD this year. It's hurting her. He has seen her for a maximum of 3 hours at a time, less than a handful of times last year.

Now she has been with me full time for the past year and also holidays. Should I ask for maintenance to be increased?

I don't know his exact wage.

Children were always allowed to move between separated parents. It was clarified the night lockdown one was announced.

He’s not having her overnight so definitely contact CMS and get it changed.

Was it a private agreement or official through the CMS?

Either way, they won’t backdate the change so go through them now.

If you don't know his salary, or are even slightly unsure, Cms. First thing in the morning.

It was a private agreement at the time and based on the cms calculations.

Absolutely you need to get the full maintenance. If there's no overnight stays then it's tough shit for him.

I'd contact him and tell him you need to recalculate the CMS as he's no longer having her X number of nights, or he needs to go back to his original dates.

Dlhas he given a reason he suddenly CBA?
