It's impossible to find startrite shoes that fit DD!

Not 1 website that stocks Start rite shoes sells DD's correct size. Am I the only one that has this problem?

DD is a size 8.5E. I have been trying to get her size of shoes for weeks now and absolutely nowhere has her size in stock, it's infuriating!

Clarks do not agree with her feet so the poor thing has been walking about with a badly fitting pair of sandals and I feel awful for her.

I'm desperate, please tell me where I can find them that I haven't already tried. Most online retailers that sell them are a generic width F and no good to me Hmm will I have better luck in a shop?

Any other brand recommendations that are good quality and fit similar to start rite?

I think I have quite a lot of E fit shoes in the attic, my girls wore the canvas style or trainers to nursery so should have quite a few. Will let you know if I find them

For canvas shoes / trainers, the width really doesn't matter too badly. An F will be fine on a narrow foot if the strap adjusts. Look into barefoot shoes - growing feet need space to move and grow in the shoe.
My DC have narrow feet (D-E) and got on well with Bobux, Plae and Pediped shoes. Check out Happy Little Soles

To add to pp tips, try using insoles.
Dc2 still has ridiculously narrow feet, and they really helped.
Continental brands were often a good fit, but this is years back so don't know if they are now. Ricosta is the only one that comes to mind just now. I'll have a think....

Elephanten!

DD's feet are fairly narrow. I used to find that Italian and Spanish brands fitted well (though were invariably marked as "F". Clarks always seemed to have wide ankles, but Primigi and Petasil were good.

These are overstock/old stock, but I used to get some decent bargains from Shoes For Kids.

Adding an insole/going up a size might help with fit.

It's a while since mine were small but both had very narrow feet, one narrower than a D at the heel. As Clarks couldn't fit them I bought less expensive shoes with heel grips or insoles. It seemed to do the job and they have no foot problems as adults.
