To ask for help finding a registry office, sharpish!

My partner and I want to have a very simple registry office ceremony as soon as possible. Ideally this autumn/early winter, but foolishly failed to take into account the backlog! does anybody know anywhere that might have shorter lists?! It'll just be us and two witnesses.

We've already managed our expectations down from wanting Manchester/Stockport or Norwich, but still would like it to be a not-hideous building/room.

Any leads gratefully received!

Thanks again, more great options but looks like we may have got lucky with a cancellation at our first choice, hurrah!

We are allowing time for notice but I think you have to have date/venue planned to do that?

I did dream of Gretna but they're full for a while.

Frustratingly having to wait for my witness to confirm so couldn't book and now have to wait until Monday, trauma but exciting! :D

If we lose the slot I'll look at more of your suggestions, really grateful as this is a secret do so can't ask for help IRL

Hi OP. Are you going for the Early Bird option with 2 witnesses? My partner and I have been thinking about doing this! No stress, we have told some family who are fine with it.

Bury St Edmunds is very nice with the atheneum.
