Out for a meal on Sunday night

WIBU to book a meal out with friends on Sunday night bearing in mind that the whole country is apparently going to want to watch the match?

We don’t want to watch the football and someone suggested we go out as it will be really quiet.

Someone else said everything will be closed because (football rules the world) everyone will be watching the game.

Who is right?

Wow! That would have seriously never occurred to me!
None of my family is into football and I've been out with the DC at an event today, spoke to lots of other parents and football was not mentioned once.
