What do you do when he works ‘late’?

Please don’t flame me as I know everyone’s setup will be different but mines in a communal area. Still working now. It means getting dinner ready etc is difficult.

During the first wave H set up in a communal area. He works 12hr shifts.
I snapped eventually and sent him to the spare room.
He says I banished him, feels sorry for himself. He has a desk and a tv with sky up there. It's hardly a cell.
I think there needs to be a differentiation between work and home, even if that's changing rooms.

My DH is still working from home. He used to sit at the kitchen table working all day and it drove me fucking nuts having to tip toe around in my own house or hide away in the bedroom. You have my full sympathy.

Thankfully we've now converted another room so he's got some space of his own. Is there literally nowhere else for him to go?

warmfluffytowels · 06/07/2021 18:50

I would just go in the kitchen and start dinner, tbh. He can go sit on the bed and make calls there if it's bothering him.

Just crack on, honestly. I have been wfh for over a year now. I’ve done calls in the downstairs toilet with a blurred background when needed due to things going on in the house. It’s your (and your child’s) home more than it is his office.

Is he on a laptop? Get him to move to the bedroom to finish off.
