Legoland and motion sickness!

We are off to Legoland next week. Myself and my DC get travel sick but travel sick pills help. My DC tend to be ok on rides but me not so much! I am fine with a rollercoaster but not anything spinning/swinging. I did ok at DLP on the Remy ride and Star Wars with taking a travel sickness tablet.

Are there any rides I need to be wary off at Legoland outside of the obvious (like spinning spider and the pirate ship)? I'm wondering particularly about the Haunted house and Sky lion rides?

Haunted house - if you mean monsters mansion? Makes you feel like the room has turned upside down. Sky rider is fine, just a little car thing on some elevated tracks.

Avoid knights quest if you don't like going round and round (it's extremely fast for what looks like a roundabout ride)

There's a spinning one with horses too, can remember what it's called.

I felt sick on the one with small hot air balloons as they sway about at the top so I'm probably overly cautious. I usually just carry the bags and watch 🤣

Haunted house swings forward and backward but not as fast or travel sick making as the pirate ship, and doesn’t last that long.

The horse one is Mia’s riding school.

The Ninjago one has mild swinging, and it’s not constant.

Have you tried the acupressure sickness bands you get from boots?

I'd avoid the haunted house with motion sickness - it made me feel sick! There us a spinning pirate ship by ninjago which might be a bit dodgy and also a spinning ride - merlin's something. It depends what makes you feel sick

We went a few weeks ago. The sky lion rise is good - 3d screens and where you sit moves slightly, but most movement is the feeling you get from watching the film. So feels like you are swooping down (bit you aren't). Queues were massive for that ride as is new - 90 mins - 120 mins. And agree the knights quest rise (the small one by the castle) might make you feel ill. Looks tame, but my dh didn't like it and he gets some motion sickness.

I get VERY, horribly car sick. I’m ok on most rides, except for things like the tea cups or walzer.

Lego lane has lovely things like the submarines that aren’t sicky at all too

@Techno56 - thank you, very helpful. Think I'll give the monster one a miss! I can just about manage the balloons as I've trained myself at our local funfair on the Big Wheel! I can just about cope as long as I can grip the side and the DC don't move so as not to rock the carriage too much!

@Brown76 - thank you for the advice. I've not tried the acupressure bands - might be worth a try. I hate Pirate ships - we all remember the day the DC talked me into going on the one at our local funfair as my youngest wanted to go on it but needed an adult with her. After the ride we had to go straight home as I felt that sick!

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThingb - oh yes teacups are an absolute no-go for me! I do like Legoland being aimed at the little ones so lots of nice tame rides! Grin
@Topbird29 - the sky lion sounds ok for me which I'm happy about as it sounds really good! We're planning to head there first!

Thank you all for the advice!
